Hamilton Beach Model E Food Mixer Instruction Manual

The instruction manual for my new toy arrived today. As I was looking through the brittle 75 year old pages, I realized that I might be the only person in the entire world who owns this booklet, and that isn't right, so I have decided to share it. It wasn't an entirely selfless act, as it stinks to high heaven. I could smell it before I even reached the mail box. It has that grandma's farm-house cupboard drawer stink which is completely repugnant in a nostalgic sort of way.

I hope you realize that you will now be seeing Hamilton Beach Model E Food Mixers everywhere now. That's called the Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon.

If you arrived here only to steal view this rare booklet, please leave a comment. My three followers and I would really appreciate having something new to read. HINT: If you click on each photo, the image becomes very large, and if you right-click on the photo, you can save it to your computer forever.

Disclaimer: I do not own these recipes. I cook from memory and often adapt things I've seen, tasted, heard about, or read about.

  1. This reminds me of my 25 yr old Sunbeam Mixmaster.. still use it more than my small hand held mixer. They knew how to build appliances back then. :)

  3. My grandfather worked at Hamilton Beach here in Racine, WI. My grandmother's mixer was passed on to my mother and then to me, I've used this mixer my entire life, (I'm 50 now). Last year it finally died but I was lucky to find another one at an antique store just yesterday. I did end up buying a new model of the Hamilton Beach mixer awhile back but it isn't nearly as good. Still hoping to get my grandmother's working again.
Thanks for posting the owners manual!

  4. Weppes,

I contacted Hamilton Beach a couple years ago and they gave me a website to go to where you can buy parts. Can't remember what it was but if you give them the model number they will be able to give you the website.

  5. Thanks for sharing this manual. I just found a Hamilton Beach Model E at a thrift store and was wondering how to attach the juicer accessories that came with it (and what parts were missing). Happy Mixing!

  6. For the person who left a comment earlier today asking how to not be notified of future comments, I see that you may have figured out that it would work to delete your original comment. I don't understand why this particular post is getting all these spam/marketing comments. I suppose it gets some traffic because I posted the manual for the mixer, but it's an odd thing to draw that crowd in. Sorry!

  7. Thanks for posting this! Just found a Model E at an estate sale. No bowls, but remarkably had the full juicer set up. Just finished cleaning it and itching to try it out! Wondering how it will compare to my 1970 Kitchen Aid. This manual is a huge help! And I have an Aldi nearby that I've never been to; you're inspiring me to check it out.

    1. Thank you for such a great comment! For some reason, I usually only get spam comments on this entry, I don't know why. I don't know where you live, but the bowl sets are available at almost every antique shop in the Minnesota area, and they are very reasonable (about $5-8), so you will find them too.

Hope you like Aldi! It's tough to get used to, but once you notice the savings, you'll want to get something there first if you can.

  8. Thank you for sharing the user manual for this mixer. I just purchased a Model G at a garage sale for $5 and it works perfectly. I did not know though that it required some oil here and there to keep it running longer. Again, thank you for sharing this manual!

  10. This is so fun. I just cleaned up my mother's Hamilton Beach Model E and it still works. I enjoyed using it when I was growing up. I doesn't have the juicer, I don't know if my mom ever did have that. Thanks so much for posting the Instruction Manual. Clair

  15. Hi there! I have an old Model E that I love love love. I've been looking around to see if Hamilton Beach ever made a dough hook attachment that would fit into the Model E, but haven't had any luck. Do you know? Thank you for posting the instruction manual-- this will be a great resource.

    1. I haven't seen one, if I find something, I will let you know :) Other brands' attachments might fit in the mixer, but they would be too long.

  22. We just purchased one of these at an antique store in Herahey,PA area and we were trying to find out how old it really was. I just happened to find this page and am so happy you are sharing this information with us! I used mine to make cookies tonight and am very happy with our purchase. it was listed for sale for $25 but we got it for less than that because they offered a 10% discount on everything over $20. It is an amazing find!!
